Existenzialismus, Tod, das unerwartete Weiterexistieren im Jenseits, wo es - vielleicht vorhersehbarerweise - grau und aschig ist. Verstörender Horror, schwarzer Humor, das Makabere und das Absurde - erzählt wird, dass unser Nachleben nicht viel anders ist als das gewöhnliche. Oder doch?
Hat jemand von euch schon davon gehört, oder ihn vielleicht irgendwo angeschaut? Night Visions Helsinki bringt in dieser Herbstedition ein Rekordtief an - für mich - interessanten Filmen, zudem hab ich in der Woche (kommende) auch noch Abendschicht und daher nur die halbe Auswahl am Freitag & Samstag. Da ich Rawhead Rex damals schon im Kino gesehen hab, bleibt auf den ersten Blick nur dieser Film. Der Trailer sieht teils interessant, teils extrem generisch aus (zuschlagende Türen, schreiende Leute, monochrom graue Landschaft, recht platte Sprüche ...) Andererseits ist es ein spannendes Thema und aus Frankreich kamen ja neuerdings gute Sachen (Blood Machines, Titane ... ).
Meinungen und Eindrücke aus dem Forum? Yay und Nay? Die zitierten Pressestimmen (unter der Collage) sind so breit gefächert, das hilft ja nicht weiter.
Frage wäre auch: Bietet dieser Film etwas, das nicht schon die nachdenklich-spröde TV-Serie Le Revenants (The Returned, FR 2012) vor zehn Jahren zeigte oder erzählte? Danach sieht es mir hier nämlich aus, nur etwas mainstreamiger aufgezogen.
